How long have you been printing?
Lilith: I started printing letterpress in a course at the university in 2017

Describe your first encounter with letterpress
Lilith: It was an typography course at University where we designed a typeface (which I never finished :D) lasercut it into wood and print it letterpress. It was my favourite course of the semester. After that I applied to p98a as an intern.

Who was your most influential teacher?
Helene: When it comes to typography and letterpress: Erik Spiekermann

Lennart: Erik and Lilith taught me the basics, the rest i taught myself
What super power would you like to have?
Helene: Beaming from place to place

Lennart: Printing money
Do you prefer to work alone or with others?
Helene: Depends on the project and work
Lilith: Mostly with others
Lennart: Often i work alone with music in my ears, but i like both.
What do you most value in your friends?
Helene: Honesty and loyalty
When do your best ideas occur to you?
Helene: In moments I don't think about it
Lilith: When nobody is watching
Lennart: mostly after the projects already started
If you were to die and come back as a typeface, which would it be?
Helene: Banco

Helene: Probably scissors

Lilith: My nightstand is too small

If you could study with any printer throughout history, who would it be?
Helene: travel back in history and invent movable letters together with Gutenberg
Lilith: I would not choose a special printer but working a week at Berthold Typefoundry would be amazing!
If you have your own shop, what equipment do you own?
Helene: The more the merrier :)

If you could change one thing about your shop, what would it be?
Helene: 0
Lilith: The perfect way to sort and organise the Typefaces. Plus a katalog with all the type and where it is.

Helene: Summer, seaside

Helene: While work: Losing my hand in a press

What do you think is useful about what you make?
p98a: To teach people how to print. And watch their fascination grow. It's so important that people know the technique not just from museums.
