How long have you been printing?

Letterpress 2015 / Silkscreen since 1996

Describe your first encounter with letterpress

50+ copies booklets of poetry & (our) images had to be handprinted/letterpress. Marieke and I jumped in to help.

Where did you learn?

At the place where our workshop is located in Vlissingen, Holland.

Who was your most influential teacher?

Rob Verhage, a former commercial printer. We felt a connection rightaway and he was eager to teach. And Thomas Gravemaker!

What super power would you like to have?

The power to earn enough money by things I love to work at. Just that.

Do you prefer to work alone or with others?

I work by myself just fine but collaborations are better: unexpected influences.

What do you most value in your friends?

Being able to trust one another.

When do your best ideas occur to you?

When I am not too much aware of the world around me: while windsurfing in masthigh waves and/or during the beers after.

To not be able to finish the things i planned.

as much as possible: combining them all is what I am about: lasercutting, woodworking, photoshop, lead, etc
